This was my first attempt at a polygon image. It was used to promote an event for a project I'm currently working on. There were some adjustments in text color, typeset, and layout later, but unfortunately I don't have a file that will work on blogger for some reason. Sorry. So, I pasted a screenshot of the final below. Thanks to Melissa Manwill for the help.

This was a homework assignment. The theme was to do a scene from Peter Pan, but sci-fi. I took the lost boys and imagined up their hide out.

Final Project

"A Day In The Life of Jordan"

Mod 7 Scenic

My ideas for this assignment changed everyday and it took me forever to finally decide on what I wanted to enter. I decided that my subject for this environment would be "light". Though the day was overcast, I feel like I was able to capture the light in different ways. The first photo allows us to focus on the glow in the courtyard, because it's bordered by the shadow. The second photo plays off of this a little bit, because it reverses, and carries the eye through the repetitive arches in light and darkness. The third is just a bit of art. We were at the Honolulu museum this past weekend, and soooooooo, ya that's where this all comes from. Anyway, the last photo I enjoy because it is almost like light is captured in that hexagonal shape. It also allows the building to have texture and dimension with its shadows across the roof. I like the look for natural lighting, and that glow that it can give, aided by the texture of the environment it entertains the eye but relaxes it. Light can enrich color and wash it out, it can catch our attention and distract us, so there's so much to do with it.
